Money: invoices, accounts and banking
Invoices, accounts, banking and transactions.
Who this is for: anyone raising invoices, paying bills, tracking money in and out, or closing the books for a period.
What you need first: nothing extra to start recording transactions and raising invoices. If you use Xero, you can connect it from the Settings tab to sync instead of entering things twice.
How Money is organised
Money opens straight into Accounts, your full accounting workspace, with nine tabs across the top: Transactions, Invoices, Bills, Quotes, Credit Notes, Recurring, Nominal, Reports and Settings. Everything on every tab is your real, mutable accounting data — you can void an invoice, send a reminder, raise a payment link, convert a quote, approve a bill and edit a recurring schedule directly from here.
Steps

- Open Money from the navigation — it lands on Transactions, your bank ledger.
- Record a transaction if you're not connected to Xero — IntelligentWolf doesn't offer a direct bank feed (Banking tells you this plainly and points you back here), so transactions, invoices and bills are your source of the numbers.
- Raise an invoice from the Invoices tab, download it as a PDF, or send a payment reminder or payment link straight from its row.
- Enter a bill from the Bills tab and approve or reject it as it's paid or queried.
- Create or convert a quote from the Quotes tab — this is the itemised, invoicing-linked quote tool (different from the simple tracker on Sales → Quotes & Proposals). Convert an accepted quote straight into an invoice from its row, or raise a deposit invoice for part of the total.
- Issue a credit note from Credit Notes when you need to refund or correct an invoice.
- Set up a recurring schedule from Recurring for anything you bill or pay on a regular cycle.
- Check your chart of accounts on Nominal, and pull Reports for the numbers behind a period.
- Connect Xero from Settings if you use it — once connected, your Xero invoices, quotes, credit notes and bank matching appear alongside your local records on the matching tabs.
- Open Banking if you're looking for a bank connection — it tells you honestly that direct bank feeds aren't available, and points you to Transactions and the rest of Accounts instead.

Tips
- If a screen from an old bookmark says "Accounts" instead of "Money", it's the same tool — Money is just the name it's opened under in the navigation.
- Look on the Quotes tab in Money (not Sales → Quotes & Proposals) when you need to turn a quote into an invoice — that's where the convert action lives.
- Connecting Xero doesn't replace anything you've already entered locally — both sets of records show up together on the tabs that support it.
