Staff: hiring and transferring

Who this is for: anyone building their AI team on a floor, or moving a staff member from one floor to another.

What you need first: a floor to hire onto (see "Street view, buildings and floor setup" if you need to create one first).

What staff are

Staff are AI team members hired onto one floor. Each one has a role — sales, marketing, support, and so on — and works only within that floor's data, the same boundary that keeps every floor's information separate.

Team is included on the Consultant and Team plans (and Enterprise) — see the monthly plan and Wolf Credits for what each tier includes.

Hiring staff

1. Open Staff from the floor's navigation.
2. Choose Add staff. You'll see the roles available to hire.
3. Pick a role and confirm. The new staff member gets a desk on this floor straight away and can start working immediately — no separate setup step.
4. Check the rota from Staff rota if you want to see who's working on what across the floor.

Transferring staff to another floor

1. Open Staff on the floor the staff member currently works on — a transfer can only be started from the floor they're actually on.
2. Select the staff member and choose Transfer to another floor.
3. Pick the destination floor from the list of floors you have access to.
4. Confirm the transfer. This is always an explicit, confirmed action — a staff member never moves floors automatically. If the transfer fails partway through, the staff member stays on their original floor rather than being left in an unclear state.
5. Check the destination floor's Staff page to see them in their new home.

Tips

• Hire the role that matches the work you need done next — you can always add more staff later as the floor grows.
• Transferring staff keeps their history with them; it's the right way to move someone between a client's floors rather than removing and re-hiring.
• If a transfer doesn't seem to be showing up, check you started it from the staff member's current floor — that's the only place the option appears.
