How-to guide

Street view, buildings and floor setup

How your street, buildings and floors fit together, and how to add more.

Who this is for: anyone with more than one business, client or department to manage — or anyone who wants to understand the street/building/floor layout before adding more.

What you need first: at least one floor already set up (you get one automatically when you sign up — see "Getting started: from signup to your first floor").

How the layout works

IntelligentWolf models your work as a street. Each building on the street is a business, client or department; each building holds one or more floors, and a floor is a self-contained workspace — its own staff, clients, money and documents, kept apart from every other floor. A freelancer with one client might only ever see one building with one floor. An agency running several client accounts sees a building per client.

Steps

Street view showing a business's buildings, each holding its own floors

  1. Open Street view from the main navigation. Your buildings appear as a row of buildings on the street; a building with several floors shows them stacked inside it.
  2. Click a building to walk in. You'll see its floors and can step into any one of them.
  3. Click a floor to work on it. Everything you do from here — staff, tasks, sales, money — is scoped to that floor only.
  4. Add a new building when you take on a new client or start a new business line. Give it a name; a first floor is created for you inside it.
  5. Add a floor to an existing building when a client or department needs its own separate workspace inside a building you already have — for example a second department of the same client.
  6. Open Building settings from a building to rename it, see which floors it contains, or manage building-level details.
  7. Finish the guided floor setup on any new floor. The setup meter on the floor lists what's still open — business details, brand basics, first staff hire — so you can fill things in over time instead of all at once.

Tips

  • You don't have to plan your whole street up front. Add a building or floor only when you actually need the separation — most solo businesses never need more than one.
  • A floor's data never leaks into another floor, even inside the same building. That's what makes it safe to run several clients from one IntelligentWolf account.
  • If you're not sure whether something should be a new building or a new floor in an existing one, ask: "is this a different client/business (new building) or a different part of the same one (new floor)?"
